Our Games

EdShed Phonics and Spelling has a wide range of games designed to support students' reading and spelling journeys. We know that the most effective learning is fun, which is why we've created a series of online and offline games to be played alongside our teaching programme, transforming practice into an adventure.

There are games for each grapheme-phoneme correspondence (GPC), spelling practice games, vocabulary games and bonus games.

EdShed games provide a multi-sensory style of learning as well as a valuable opportunity to practise spelling and phonics in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Through repetition and instant feedback, students solidify their phonemic knowledge and understanding of spelling patterns and word meanings, building confidence and accuracy. Data from the games feeds into a handy data report, which can be accessed by teachers, allowing them to identify common spelling misconceptions.

Phonics Games

Phonics Games can be found in the Phonics Shed garden. Once logged in, children navigate their way through the interactive Phonics Shed garden, completing games as they progress from pre-reading skills sequentially through more challenging grapheme-phoneme correspondence activities.
